Jacob Meade

Jacob Meade is a film and video director based out of Des Moines, Iowa. In his video production work, ​​Jacob has collaborated with major brands including Barilla, buybuyBaby, and John Deere among others, and he also has deep experience working with artists, emerging startups, and fast-growing businesses across the U.S.

​

From 2016-2021, Jacob served as creative director at Around the Corner Productions in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In this role he oversaw creative on all video production including the popular Iowa PBS series Iowa Entrepreneur, which ran for 36 episodes across three seasons. Jacob’s passion for quality unscripted content is most exemplified in his projects for Barilla and Milkhouse Candle Co

 

Since 2015, Jacob has also been the technical director for The New Live, a multimedia company specializing in bringing immersive, artistic projections to live orchestra concerts. At The New Live, Jacob has been a key artistic collaborator with decorated illustrator Gary Kelley on multiple concerts. Jacob worked closely with Kelley to conceptualize, capture, and animate his artwork to develop compelling, music-driven narratives.

 

During his early professional career, Jacob worked as a documentary editor and camera operator, lending his skills to a variety of humanities and history-driven pieces on topics ranging from the hippie movement to tallgrass prairie restoration to American history.

 

​​In all of his various projects, Jacob’s ultimate goal is to unearth great stories and tell them with integrity.

 

When he’s not behind a camera or in the editing bay, Jacob’s likely hanging out with his wonderful partner Em and their three (!) wonderful puppies. That, or he’s jamming on a piano, working on the next just-for-fun project with friends, going on a quick jog, or running his 4-year long Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
